Porters Avenue, Dagenham
Porters Avenue Health Centre was commissioned by Barking & Dagenham PCT at a cost of £12.7m. The Centre has been operational since February 2008 and is set over an extensive site of over 350m² of consultancy and examination space and over 380m² of general administration/office space across three large floors. The Centre provides a range of services to its patients including NHS Health Checks & repeat prescriptions, 7 large group rooms, Minor surgery, Triage/outpatient space, Diabetes services, Cardiology and respiratory diagnostic services, Phlebotomy services, Podiatry services, X-ray and ultrasound services, Leg ulcer services, Neuro-treatment services, Library and computer room, Large exercise area, Children’s play areas, 2 lifts and disabled access to the site throughout.
The building is open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm. The surgery is open Monday-Friday 8.30-12.30 and 1.30-19.00. There are car parking facilities available at the Centre. Alternatively the centre is close to Becontree Train Station.
