Managing Consultant

Candidate overview
As a Managing Consultant, you will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery. You will:

Lead and inspire a high‑performing team, delivering high‑quality, strategic estate and service planning projects.

Drive business development, building strong client relationships, generating new opportunities, and contributing to the continued growth of gbp consult.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients across health, social care, local government, education and private sector clients.

Model our values of integrity, ambition, excellence and accountability in all aspects of your work.
About you
You will bring:

10+ years’ senior management experience and a degree or equivalent professional qualification.
-
Credible experience delivering complex business advisory assignments or transformation programmes.
-
A strong track record of revenue generation, built from professional networks and the ability to identify and cultivate new opportunities.
-
Ideally, experience working with NHS acute trusts or the local government sector.
-
Ideally, subject matter expertise in NHS acute services, sustainability or digital.
-
A proactive, self‑motivated, high‑energy approach, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative style.

A passion for improving public services and supporting colleagues to grow and excel.
-
Ideally the candidate will be based in and have a strong network in the Midlands or Wales.
