On Sunday 29 May, six members of the gbpartnerships finance team (pictured below), took on the Royal Sutton Fun Run, successfully completing the 8.5mile run and working together to raise a fantastic £1,045 for Compton Care Hospice, Wolverhampton - a charity that is very close to the hearts of the team.
Compton Care specialise in palliative care, they also provide community care supporting patients in their own homes. Mainly funded by charitable donations, every penny raised will go towards providing care. Compton has provided support for the families of both Gemma and Katie, with both nans receiving end of life care, at the Hospice and at home.
Gemma Dixon, Assistant Management Accountant commented:
“It was so much fun and a great experience. A lot of sore legs over the last few days, but we're all good! We're so grateful for everyone who donated.”
