This Christmas, the gbp foundation is making donations to 12 good causes and charities that are close to the hearts of our staff.
On the first day of gbp’s 12 days of Christmas giving, a donation of £400 is on its way to the National Citizen Service Changemakers programme hosted by Southampton Football club.
Gbp’s Estates Manager, Rachael Samain, nominated the cause for a donation as it is particularly close to her heart with her daughter being part of the Changemakers programme.
The Changemakers are fundraising as part of their community engagement programme to support homeless people in the city, raising funds to create wellness packages for the homeless (sleeping bags, blankets, hygiene products and food) which the Saints Foundation will then help them deliver to the homeless community.
This project is really worthwhile as it not only supports the homeless, but it is also solely run by young adults to organise and manage the community initiative which gives them a great experience to develop teamwork and leadership skills.
We hope that the donation makes a difference to those in need at this time of year.
