Yesterday, gbp team members Jamie Phillipson and Jane Batchelor had the privilege of delivering over 10 large bags of quality clothing donations from the gbpartnerships clothing appeal to the Suited for Success team. Jamie and Jane also had the pleasurable task of presenting a £1,000 donation from the gbp foundation to further their incredible mission.
The visit provided opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the remarkable work of the Birmingham based charity, who are on a mission to empower unemployed men and women, not only with interview skills but with the confidence-boosting attire necessary to make a lasting positive impression and secure life-changing job opportunities.
The team are busy getting ready to hit the road next week, with the Suited for Success bus, which will take help and support right into the heart of hard-to-reach areas of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands that have some of the highest levels of unemployment. The mobile project will allow more people to access free support, giving unemployed people of all ages and background the tools they need to begin or continue their journey of preparation into employment, equipped with the resources and skills to succeed.
