gbpartnerships consult is delighted to have witnessed the handover of Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) on Friday 22nd July. We have been Technical Advisors to the NHS from initial concept to completion of Phase 1 and are now working with the team on the planning of Phase 2 which will be handed over in Autumn 2023. Wood Green CDC is a key ‘spoke’ within the wider North Central London diagnostic network. When completed it will provide Phlebotomy, Ophthalmology, Ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MRI services to the local community in a highly accessible location.
The new CDC has been retrofitted into a busy shopping mall on the ground floor and basement – a technically challenging design and construction task. Over and above the operational area, internal and external central plant space had to be found to provide a new fully compliant ventilation system to the 900 sqm facility. Completion of Phase 1 last week, on time and on budget, is an amazing feat of teamwork.
