A huge part of gbpartnerships' DNA is to give back to communities and good causes that are close to our hearts. In that vein, the chosen charity for gbpartnerships' staff Christmas event, held last week in Birmingham, was Music Therapy Works (MTW).
MTW works across Birmingham, Worcester, West Midlands and the East Midlands, providing music therapy, neurologic music therapy, and community music services through both digital and in-person sessions. The charity works in numerous settings including education, health, and hospitals, using the power of music to help people cope with emotional or mental challenges, learning disabilities, developmental disorders, terminal illnesses, neurological conditions, and physical illnesses.
The generous gbp staff team set about fundraising for four Temple Drums (pictured below) a 9-note version, which allows for a rich melodic palette for clients to explore with MTW therapists.
We are delighted to report that the total donations came to £1,010 - exceeding the £1,000 target and enabling MTW to purchase the drums, which will be handmade in Wales especially for the charity.
A massive thank you to all of the gbp staff team who donated!
