Contributing towards furniture and household items for those in need.
Updated: Mar 18
Loaves n Fishes supports those leaving hostels, fleeing domestic violence and others in housing crisis through the provision of re-cycled furniture, household items and clothing.
They help people build a home for themselves, whilst also delivering informal skills & employability training through supported volunteering opportunities in our warehouse, furniture recycling centre and charity shop.
The funding from the gbpFoundation will enable Loaves n Fishes to purchase furniture and household items for those in need following a significant decline in furniture donations and closure of their charity shop due to the pandemic. This will support people who have lost their jobs as well as an increased number of people fleeing domestic abuse. The grant will benefit 50 people and will contribute towards sofas, beds, bedding and kitchen basics.
