This Christmas the gbp foundation is making donations to 12 good causes and charities that are close to the hearts of our staff.
On the 11th day of gbp’s 12 days of Christmas giving, a donation of £400 is on its way to the Standing Tall Foundation, a charity based in St Helens, founded by Andy Reid MBE and John F Tabern MSc, to promote mental health and physical wellbeing by providing free and professional support and services.
gbp’s Group Services & Quality Director, Wendy Spencer, nominated the cause for a donation as it provides invaluable support for the local community. The Standing Tall Foundation is a relatively small charity that works at grass root level with people who are suffering from poor mental health, addiction and general wellbeing issues.
The charity works within an area of deprivation and are finding that there are continually more calls on their limited resources. The number of referrals is continuously increasing, and the charity needs to keep up with demand, hence our donation is going towards helping them to increase their resources and enable them to keep level with their demand.
We hope that the donation makes a difference to those in need at this time of year.
