Becky Jones, gbp’s Head of CSR and Sustainability is a part of the C&M HCP team that was nominated for the Health and Local Government Partnership Award at the HSJ Awards. The Awards took place last week.
The award was for the work that the Health and Care Partnership are doing, in partnership with Cheshire East Council, which is establishing a social value charter, social value award, within an ethical framework, and then the work that Becky is leading on to establish an anchor institute charter across Cheshire and Merseyside.
It’s all about listening to local communities, setting principles in place, and encouraging organisations to sign up to adopt those principles. The Awards took place on Thursday, and were compered by Sue Perkins. Although the team didn’t win, their work is still making a huge difference, working together, to improve the lives of the local communities across Cheshire and Merseyside.
