On the 3rd day of Christmas giving, a £250 donation has been made to James’ Place - a charity offering free, lifesaving treatment to suicidal men in Liverpool and London.
The charity was nominated by gbp’s Senior Development Manager, Simon (Si) Parr, who has experienced the impact of James’ Place work first hand. Si commented:
“Earlier this year my good friend John Breen took his own life. I met John, his wife and two beautiful young girls through my friend Phil Hill at a garden party and we become instant friends. Nobody knew for one minute about the troubles that were going through his mind, and he sadly took his own life. We were, and are still, devastated about the loss of John, but we all take our strength from his two girls who are just amazing. James Places Charity have been incredible in supporting us all and John's close family remain in touch with the therapists in the Northwest. I am delighted to nominate James Places for a Christmas Donation."
