On the 4th day of gbp's Christmas giving, a £250 donation has been made to Stronger Together Animal Rescue (STAR) - a charity dedicated to saving the lives of as many dogs as they can and relieving the suffering of dogs in need of care and attention.
The charity was nominated by gbp’s Development Director, Ian Tuddenham, who has adopted two dogs via them. STAR is a registered charitable animal rescue organisation in England and Wales that supports and finds homes in the UK for animals in desperate need from Cyprus. They exist to help ground-root lone rescuers and many shelters and pounds in Cyprus, that have limited capacity in rehoming dogs and cats in the UK, with the assurance of full rescue back up once the dogs arrive in the UK. Ian commented on why he nominated them for a donation:
I've now got two dogs from the charity, they have been a brilliant! They offer a full support package including access to highly qualified dog behaviourists and a brilliant forum to help with any settling in issues for the dogs and owners.
